Haan's 1830 Inn

Haan's 1830 Inn

Haan's 1830 Inn is open yearly from May through October. It has ten rooms, each decorated differently and in keeping with the historic nature of Mackinac Island, Michigan. Every guest room is air conditioned and most have private bathrooms. The Dr. William Beaumont Suite is a great choice for a family. It has a beautiful queen sized four-poster bed, a whirlpool tub with shower and it connects to a room with twin brass beds.

Breakfast is served daily in the large dining room. You can join other guests at the long table which will be set with china. There are usually fresh baked goods to compliment the meal. It is a great way to start the day sharing the excitement of your vacation with others.

The other common areas of the home include a comfortable parlor and a covered porch complete with wicker chairs. It provides a quaint, charming area for reading or simply watching the world pass by.

Keep in mind that hairdryers, TV’s and phones are not provided in any of the rooms. Most people find that they are too busy to watch TV when there is so much to explore on the Island! There is a bike rack so you can bring your own bike and know that it will be safe when you are busy with other things.

For reservations or information, you can contact this Inn directly at (906) 847-6244 during the summer or at (847) 526-2662 during the winter months.

Insider Tip: If your vacation days are flexible, it is advantageous to inquire about special pricing during the season. Also, tell them if mobility is a problem so you can stay on the first floor.
