Mackinac Bridge Race

To run across Big Mac in October is truly a wonderful experience.

3rd Annual Fall Colors Bridge Race

The Annual Fall Colors Mackinac Bridge Race event is on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Mackinaw City.

The race begins at 7:00 a.m. in St. Ignace on the Upper Peninsula side of the Mackinac Bridge at the Bridgeview Park. Transportation will be provided from Mackinaw City to the park. The race has staggered starts that are based on your transportation time. You will receive your transportation time when you register.

If you are getting to Bridgeview Park on your own please realize that your start time must still be around your assigned transportation time from Mackinaw City.

Event registration closes on October 7 at midnight. There is no registration offered on the day of this event!

This race qualifies you to enter the lottery for the Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Run 2012. For more information about the Labor Day Race visit www.michiganfitness.org.

A fantastic hot breakfast will be provided for participants after the race in Mackinaw City. Don't miss it for it is scrumptious! All runners will receive a commemorative medal and t-shirt.

The youngest category is ages between 14-15 and the oldest is 65 and older.

Stay in Mackinaw City or Mackinac Island

Northern Michigan fall weather is absolutely wonderful to enjoy. There are some great deals at all hotels in Mackinaw City on Friday evening as well as on on Mackinac Island on Saturday night.

Insider Tip: There is no ferry to get you to the race event early enough on Saturday morning. So, plan to stay on Mackinac Island on Saturday night and enjoy the Island without the summer crowds!
