Mackinac Island Yacht Club

Mackinac Island

The Mackinac Island Yacht Club is a beautiful historic building on Huron Street directly across from the Mackinac Island Marina.

The Yacht Club was founded in 1937 and the first Commodore was J. E. Buker. Since that time it has grown in membership and the clubhouse has undergone restoration as well as the addition of a burgee room to the original building.

Mackinac Island Yacht Club This is a private club that has dining facilities and eight guest rooms. These accommodations can be reserved by members. The guest rooms each have a private bath and some are air-conditioned. The Room #7 Suite can accommodate five people. The commodore’s room has a king sized bed and a beautiful view of the waterfront area.

In addition to regularly scheduled dining, the Yacht Club is also available for parties, receptions, and special luncheons and dinners. The staff is the best! You can count on delicious food, great service and personal attention to every detail.

It is always a treat to attend an event at this club. Membership is limited to 300 members. A membership application form can be obtained by contacting a current member of the club. For additional information, contact the club directly:

P.O. Box 511, Mackinac Island, MI 49757
tel. 906-847-3363 (fax) 906-847-3847

Insider Tip: This Yacht Club is very popular and the summer calendar fills in quickly. Members should contact the club as early as possible to reserve a room or to book a special event. The chef is very accommodating and offers fantastic gourmet options for each request.
