Better Late Than Never

My husband and I were young when we were married and we couldn't afford a honeymoon. In October of 2010 we celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary by staying on Mackinac Island for our "better late than never" honeymoon.

We stayed at the Metivier Inn and had a great time. We spent our days there riding bikes around the island, having dinner at and touring the Grand Hotel, seeing the Fort, going on a tour of Haunted Mackinac, taking a horse and carriage ride, and seeing as many sights as we could.

It was so nice to get away to a place that is quiet and beautiful. It made us forget about all the stresses of everyday life for a little while. It was the best honeymoon we could have asked for.
