Grand Hotel Jewel

The Grand Hotel Jewel offers 18 holes of golf that are actually two 9-hole segments separated by style and distance.
The front nine is called “The Grand” nine and is adjacent to the hotel. The course is fairly short (2405 from the blue tees) and there are no par-5’s. It does have wonderful views and a couple of great elevated tees. While you play, you will be able to see the
Grand Hotel,
the
Straits of Mackinac,
the
Michigan Governor’s Summer Residence,
and
Fort Mackinac.
You will also pass the historic
Little Stone Church
with its beautiful stained glass windows. Be sure to stop at The Jockey Club, located next to the pro shop, to relax and discuss your game. It is a great place to enjoy a beverage or lunch.
If you are playing 18 holes, get ready for a unique experience. Players and their clubs are transported via horse-drawn carriage shuttle to “The Woods” for the back nine.
The Woods course winds through lush forest and by Island cottages. It is a bit tight, but fair and the experience is quite different from The Grand nine. The signature hole has a beautiful view of the
Mackinac Bridge.
You will want to pack your camera as well as your golf clubs for this Michigan golf experience. Before taking the carriage shuttle back to the Grand Hotel, relax and unwind at the Woods restaurant and Bobby’s Bar next to the Pro Shop.
There is no need for you to miss a Mackinac Island golf outing if you leave your clubs at home. The Grand Hotel has clubs available for rental!
Insider Tip: The Grand Hotel Mackinac Island offers special Golf Packages throughout the summer season. Who could want more! Plenty of golf and a Five-Star Resort on fabulous Mackinac Island!
