It is almost impossible to put into words the experience of dining at Grand Hotel. The meals are all an experience in themselves. My favorite is the Grand Luncheon Buffet. The beauty of the dining room, the view of the Straits of Mackinac, the service and the attention to detail is incredible. It gives the opportunity to relax, take your time and totally enjoy a fine meal. The 100ft. buffet has something to please everyone; and since it is a buffet, you can pick and choose just what you want. How can you be disappointed? Not only is the food amazing, but the ambiance is unmatched. There is live music being softly playing in the background, and a staff that is at your beck and call. I can't imagine a more relaxing or delicious meal.My husband and I have actually made the 21/2 hr. ride to Mackinaw city, got on the ferry, and walked up to the hotel just to have lunch. Then we spent a relaxing day wandering around the island, then drove back home the same day. It is THAT GOOD!!!
