Insider Tip: There are some exceptional rental homes around Harbor Springs with some overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan just outside of the Village or closer to
Cross Village
on the way to
Mackinaw City.
There really are not any top-notch hotels right in the downtown area of this small community. The B&B called The Veranda is on Main Street and is delightful! It's only open during the busy summer and early fall months.
Other fantastic northern Michigan communities to stay at while visiting Harbor Springs is
Petoskey
which is a short 6 miles drive or they stay in
Bay Harbor
just west of Petoskey.
