Mackinac Island Photo Contest

First annual Mackinac Island Photo Contest announced by Mackinac Historic State Parks

Mackinac Island Photo Contest was announced by the State Historic Parks with entries needing to be postmarked June 1, 2011. This is a contest open to professional or amateur photographers to show Mackinac moments depicting this magical place in northern Michigan.

The photos can be through digital or analog, black and white, color, monochrome or any other photographic process. This inspirational contest will be juried by S. Kay Young, a Native American Detroit-based artist and teacher at Oakland Community College outside of Detroit, Michigan.

The exhibition of selected works from the entries plus the winners will be exhibited from August 1 - October 9, 2011 at the The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum in the former Indian Dormitory on the Island.
