Mackinac Island Taxi

Call for a Mackinac Island taxi when you need a break from walking in and around the Island. Horse-drawn taxis can be seen carrying people to various places anytime of the day or night.

Most visitors find that the downtown is rather compact and most things are comfortably within walking distance. However, if you are heading further, or just don’t feel like walking, taxis are at your service.

Certain taxis are equipped to accommodate visitors with disabilities. Be sure to request this when you call.

Taxis are in limited supply so don’t expect to hail a cab if you are in a hurry. Ask your hotel to arrange for one or call yourself at 906-847-3323. Treat this like a dinner reservation and call ahead for taxi service.

Marcia calls in the morning to reserve a taxi for a certain time later in the day. This is a good strategy if you know your plans in advance!
