Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping

camping on Lake Huron

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping is one of our favorite campgrounds near Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Located on US-23, just two miles south of Mackinaw City, Michigan,
Mill Creek offers 600 camp sites, as well as RV sites. Location, location, location! This campground is close to the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinaw City with its shopping and ferry docks, Fort Michilimackinac, and Old Mill Creek State Historic Park.

They have quaint cabins and cottages with bathrooms and small kitchens just perfect for a family outing or romantic semi-rustic experience. Marcia’s cousin stayed in a lakefront cabin with her husband and two sons and they had a fabulous time. The camp has one-mile of Lake Huron shoreline which the boys loved to explore and the view of Lake Huron is magnificent. Besides the shore line, there are many hiking trails and roads for biking.

Amenities abound at Mill Creek including a heated pool, basketball court, 18-hole golf course and a camp store with an arcade. They also provide free shuttle service to the Ferry Docks for Mackinac Island. There are many wonderful things to do on the Mackinac Island, even if you only have time for a day visit. Mackinac is known for its charm and friendly atmosphere. You will not find any cars on the Island, only horses and bicycles provide the transportation. And, make sure to indulge in some famous Mackinac Island fudge while you are there!
